The Blanche

212 N. Marion Street,
Lake City, FL 32055
386-628-1178

Built in 1902 by architect Frank Pierce Milburn, The Blanche has been a downtown landmark and central hub of hospitality for over 100 years. Will Brown, the original owner, named the hotel after his four-year-old daughter, Blanche. Commonly referred to as “the pride of Lake City,” The Blanche has hosted plenty of famous guests, from Johnny Cash to Al Capone as they passed through the “gateway to Florida” on their travels. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 18, 1990. Today, this historic hotel is completely renovated, but still features some of the original fixtures that make it so unique.
